Operation Trace – Missing Children Rescue Initiative

Operation Trace is a special initiative launched by the Women & Child Safety Wing of Andhra Pradesh Police to trace and rescue missing and trafficked children.

Through coordinated efforts of Shakthi Teams and local police units, several missing children were successfully identified, rescued, and safely reunited with their families.

The initiative focuses on strengthening child protection, preventing exploitation, and ensuring every rescued child receives proper care and support for a safe future.

Women & Child Safety Wing – Separate Office

A dedicated office for Women & Child Safety Wing has been established at Samruddi Nexa Towers, Kunchanapalli, Tadepalli, functioning under the leadership of an IGP rank officer.

Women Safety Week – 2026

Launched by Hon’ble Home Minister Smt. V. Anitha, Women Safety Week – 2026 included awareness campaigns, outreach programs and public engagement activities across Andhra Pradesh.

Statewide Cycle Rally

A statewide cycle rally commenced from March 1st across all districts promoting women safety awareness. Daily educational and outreach programmes were conducted throughout the week.

Daily Awareness Programmes

Throughout Women Safety Week, daily awareness programmes were conducted across schools, colleges, public places and communities to educate citizens about women and child protection laws, emergency helplines, and preventive measures.

Blood Donation camps

These programmes aimed at strengthening public participation and building a safer environment for women and children across Andhra Pradesh.

Operation Chinnari Thalli

Launched by the Hon’ble DGP of Andhra Pradesh to safeguard children and enhance awareness regarding child protection laws.

Shakthi Teams – Enhanced Public Visibility

To improve public recognition and accessibility, Shakthi Teams were provided with distinctive blue coats and caps.

This initiative ensures better visibility in public spaces, enhances approachability, and strengthens rapid response mechanisms for women safety.
